Who are we?
Brixham BeeWell is a group of local people with a real passion for mental health and wellbeing. We want our community to be a safe and welcoming space, where anyone who is feeling sad, low, or is having thoughts of suicide, knows that there is always someone they can talk to, and somewhere they can go for help.
Brixham is already a close knit community and a beautiful place. We want to build on these assets to increase its resilience by offering safe spaces and a listening ear to all who need it.
In practical terms this means anything from getting some training in how to talk to people about their mental health and wellbeing; promoting good mental health in your business; or offering safe spaces to talk - in your cafe, barbers or shop.
Contact us
We would like to hear from you if you have ideas about making Brixham a place where people talk openly about mental wellbeing and feel supported to get help when they need it. This might be:
-
you would like to access training for you or your staff (there’s a wide range of free face to face and on line courses, from half an hour to a day)
-
you would like to be a ‘Brixham BeeWell’ business
-
you can offer a safe space to talk about mental health for customers who may be feeling low
-
you have suggestions for making our local environment more mental health friendly
-
you would like to join our group, share your ideas and experience and help to make good things happen
Not sure how, but want to be involved? Email us: brixhambeewell@gmail.com
